Basically it generates an xml file, with all your inner links in it. Usually search engines get harder to your inner links, especially if they are burried deep. But not anymore, as soon as a search engine visits your home page, if you have a ROR Sitemap, it will see all the inner links, and crawl them all, so make it easyer for all search engines to index you pages and use this free tool.

If you are curious: ROR is a rapidly growing XML format for describing any object on a website (sitemaps, products, services, menus, images, reviews, contact info, business info, etc), so any search engines can better understand its content.
