Obtain Links from Relevant Web Sites

Ideally you should start linking to other sites around your virtual community (other sites involved in the same areas of commerce, trade associations or government bodies).  These sites work better if they are one way (incoming), contain good anchor text at the remote end and come from sites with a high Google PageRank™.

If your business belongs to any trade associations of if you are located in a village, town or community and that organisation or place has a web site then try and obtain an incoming link from them.

The more links you obtain the better, even if the linking page has a low PageRank™.
